I've been using this Eucerin product for years, and it is the best cleanser for me. My skin is quite oily and acne prone, but any attempts to use special products (like Vichy Normaderm etc.) resulted in problems - those products were just too harsh.
This foam is extremely light, very simple formula, and absolute freshness feeling after (NOT overdryed, tightened or something like that).
It seems they made rebranding, now I'm getting it in a differently shaped straight round tube and it is called "DermoPurifyer Cleanser." Don't know if they changed the formula, but it still is the perfect cleanser for me.

This is a good cleanser. It cleanses pretty well, removes oil and dead skin cells. It is also very gentle, and that is what I like about it. But what I noticed is that my skin got oilier through the day, and I also think that there are better foaming washes out there than this one. That is why I rated it with a 3, because even if it's good, it has a few hangers, and I rather like a foaming wash that does a bit more and stops some oily skin troubles.

I couldn't find this anywhere quite awhile ago and found out it was discontinued on this site. This had been my HG cleanser. With lactic acid, it was the perfect balance of cleaning my oily skin, exfoliating, but not being too drying. My sister and I used it faithfully. We both e-mailed the company to try to get it to change its mind. They didn't. : (
Now I use Noxema and Phisoderm. See my other reviews. The Phisoderm is actually the closest I've found to this. I think it has lactic acid too. Eucerin corporate types - if you read this - bring it back!

Yes, sigh this product has been discontinued! Yes and i will call and email this stupid company to bring it back! Great cleanser! Sort of finding the perfect relationship! When u know its the right person! Anyways! Gentle foaming gel cleanser, deep cleans but doesn't over dry! Doesn't leave a slimey, or emolient residue behind! simple ingredients! Why hasn't anyone come up with this? and why did they d/c this i will never understand! I am very sensitive and this is fragrance free and light weight and hasn't irritated my skin! And rinses very well and squeaky clean, and doesn't overstrip! AARRH!!!!!! Girls i share your frustation!

Easily one of the best cleansers I ever used too bad it was discontinued. I wrote numerous letters to Beiersdorf practically begging them to bring this back but to no avail. I just loved this cleanser, I used it for years, luckily when I heard they were going to discontinue it I bought every one I could find but still eventually I will need to find a new cleanser. I've been trying but I haven't found anything as of yet that is as good as this one and I have spent hundreds of dollars on different cleansers. This was a great product but Beiersdorf claimed lack of sales on the reason to discontinue.

This is the BEST of the BEST cleanser in the market. Not one of the best but the very best! What is Eucerin thinking? why such a great product got discontinued? I live in Canada and I used to purchase this product online (because not available at local drugstores) and i always buy 5+ bottles to make sure i have them it stock.
If i knew this was going to be discontinued, i will load 100+ bottles of this, enough for me to wash my face for the next several years.
Currently 2009, after few years the product discontinued, i still can't find anything comparable.. so frustrating.

This stuff is pretty good. It's fairly reasonable for the size I got at Ulta. It's very gentle and easily removes makeup, including my waterproof mascara.

My HG cleanser. I have acne prone skin, and this keeps my skin totally clear. I've tried everything from Philosophy to Proactive and nothing works as well as the Eucerin Clear Skin line. Foams nicely, doesn't sting my eyes, gentle on the skin and no harsh scent. I love this cleanser, I refuse to use anything else. Unfortunately the only place I can find it is online, but I don't mind that much. Highly recommend it!

This product was my HG until they discontinued it last year. I had been ordering packs of 5 and 6 bottles of this stuff on e-bay but I can't find it anywhere now.
Note to girls looking for a new HG: Check out reviews for DHC Deep Cleansing Oil - I got a sample of this and it's great so far. I just ordered the full sized bottle. It washes away all of your makeup and makes your skin feel really clean, withouth feeling dry. It's more expensive than Eucerin (about $25/ bottle) but it's worth it, if it works! I hope this advice can help some other girls out there who are as depressed as I am over the discontinued Pore Purifying Wash!

This is my HG cleanser. I have ance prone but dry skin. It's really gentle yet I know it has great cleasning effet for if not, my acne will tell me about it. I put makeup on. So at night I'll be sure that I use makeup remover before I use eucerin.
It's such a disgrace that they discontinued it!!~! Now I have to be on the lookout again...sigh

I love this stuff -- I always feel like I get a gentle clean on my face and it never ever stings my eyes. I hate when I wash my face and get cleanser in my eye and it stings...
the only gripe I have is that it's hard to find for me... I buy it on drugstore.com, but I'd rather not have to go online to find it... and, I looked on drugstore.com recently and it wasn't listed -- here's to hoping that it's only temporarily removed! I have used this cleanser for 1.5 years and I absolutely love it. It's great for acne-prone skin that can't decide whether it's dry or oily. This cleanser doesn't strip your skin but also doesn't leave a soap film on your skin.

This product works for me -- it's as simple as that. No smell, great lather, doesn't freak out my weird-combination skin (both oily and dry - especialy in the winter months) and most importanly keeps my skin pretty even keel :) All that for a dirt cheap price!

I wanted to try a new cleanser and debated between this and Purpose's cleanser. Well, I am definitely sorry that I chose this, because after about five days of using it, my chin has developed 4 whiteheads, and 2 small zits have appeared on my nose. Mind you, my skin is normally clear, just oily. Unfortunately, this not only broke me out but also made my skin even oilier than usual. At night, I couldn't wait to wash my face because it felt uncomfortably oily! Little did I know that the very cleanser I was using was making everything worse! I was very disappointed, but I guess, each person's skin reacts to a product very differently.

My usually clear skin started having hormonal breakout issues about 6 months ago. Since I started using this cleanser, in combination with the toner that's part of the same line , my skin has been looking great once again. I have sensitive skin, and this doesn't irritate my face at all. A little bit goes a long way. When I first began using this, I would go through a bottle every two weeks because I was using too much. I have since realized that a nickel sized amount will do the trick. In my opinion, this is the best line on the market for adult acne prone, sensitive skin. It really cleans out your pored and keeps skin healthy and clear. Like some of the other posters said, I can't recommend this highly enough.

Boring, stripping and pretty average cleanser. The cleaning effect is not bad, but I found it a little irritating for my sensitive skin, which led to small breakouts in the long run. I'm better off with Bioderma Crealine or LRP Lipikar instead, will not repurchase this one.

This is my HG cleanser, and I have tried tons over the years. This is perfect for my sensitive, acne-prone, combo-to-oily, redness-prone skin! It is free of fragrance and color, and is a clear gel (not pearly or creamy at all). Lathers well with just a little bit, rinses completely. Leaves my skin feeling comfortable, not dry or tight. Even removes makeup and sunscreen. I adore it. It is hard to find. I order it from drugstore.com. I can't recommend it enough!!
Edited: I bought 12 bottles when I found out this was discontinued, and now I'm down to my last 2 bottles. I will be really sad when I run out of this, this is by far the best cleanser I have ever used. Cleans thoroughly without stripping or drying and leaves no residue! My sensitive, acne prone skin loves it! Eucerin, please bring it back!!!!

I previously used this cleanser religiously because it seemed to be free of chemicals and ingredients too harsh for sensitive skin like frangrance, etc. but it started drying my skin, causing some redness and was a bit too harsh. It also caused occasional breakouts.
